ORDER PROCESS

When you receive an Order Confirmation email, this means that your order has been placed and is waiting to be reviewed and accepted. However, we reserve the right to cancel the order for any reason, in which case we will issue a full refund.

We will contact you via email if we are unable to accept your order for any reason.

The ownership title of goods and, therefore, the risk of loss and damage pass on to you once delivery is made, provided the goods are paid for.

You will be contacted by us via phone or email if, unfortunately, the goods you ordered are out of stock. If the goods ordered are due to come back in stock within a reasonable time, we will give you the option of either waiting until the goods are back in stock or cancelling your order.

Suppose you order more than one item and one of those items is out of stock. In that case, we will contact you and give you the option of waiting for that particular item to come back in stock, cancelling the item out of stock, or cancelling your entire order.

You have the opportunity to check and correct any input errors up to the point where the order is placed.

You agree and understand that placing an order with us creates a contract between you and www.doorhandlestore.com.

We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers and specs of goods before your order has been processed but will inform you and ask you to confirm your agreement to these changes before despatch.

 

PAYMENT

You can pay for your online purchase using PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Diners, JCB Credit and UPI. 

Payment is officially taken after your order has been security checked just before despatch.

Ensure that the expiry date on the card you use to make payment is after the anticipated despatch date. If the expiry date on your card falls within the expected despatch time, we will be unable to take the required funds.

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that the credit/debit card or PayPal account being used for payment is yours. All orders are subject to payment security checks with PayPal or your card issuer. Failure to pass these checks will result in us cancelling your order, and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the failure. However, we will inform you that your order has been cancelled.

Our website uses a payment authentication service called 3-D Secure and is used to combat fraudulent online transactions. It allows the card issuer to fully authenticate online transactions using Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode (depending on the type of card being used), which requests the User to enter the correct password to authorise the payment from their card.

If you bypass the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode, your order will be cancelled as your payment must be 3-D secured to pass our payment security checks.

 

DISCOUNT CODES

All promotional codes are subject to terms and conditions. Any promotional codes must be applied at the time of purchase by entering the code into the Discount Code Box in the shopping cart.

If the code has been applied successfully, we will recalculate the value of the items in your cart to account for your promotion, and you will see the code included in the payment review section before clicking proceed. If the code is invalid or entered incorrectly, an error will appear at the top of the page. Promotional codes can only be used once and cannot be used with any other offers unless stated otherwise. you must add all discount codes BEFORE placing the order, as we cannot apply any discounts once the order has gone through, so please contact us via email if there are any issues using codes.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulation, you have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website before dispatch and receive a full refund. This does not apply to items personalised or made to your specification.

In certain circumstances, before your order has been dispatched, we may be able to cancel your order. Please contact us by telephone as soon as possible after placing your order, and Customer Service will advise if cancellation is available. Please note that we cannot combine orders, change the size, edit your billing and shipping details, or add pieces to an existing order once it has been placed.

 

STANDARD RETURNS POLICY

If you wish to return an item for change of mind, kindly notify customer services within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery by contacting our customer support team at websales@doorhandlestore.com

When returning an item to us, it is your responsibility to ensure that the item is packaged correctly in original packaging with all the components, including any promotional items received (including gifts or discounted additional products) and carefully so that no damage is caused to the article. Failure to do so may result in your return being refused and/or any refund due being reduced. In addition, if you are returning goods due to a change of mind, then they must be returned in a re-saleable condition failing which we may not accept refunds or exchanges.

You must return the goods within 14 calendar days at your costs subject to our customer service team's authorisation. Where returns have been completed without prior notification and approval from the Customer Service Team refunds will not be provided. The burden of proof is that of the consumer to prove an item has been returned and ensure it is returned safely.

The customer shall pay for returns unless the order is damaged upon receipt, or your order has missing products.

REFUNDS

If a refund is required due to a product being returned to us, we will only issue that refund once we have received the returned product.

MISSING, DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCOMPLETE ORDERS

Goods supplied shall be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Goods should not be faulty or damaged or incomplete when you receive them.

You have a clear right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. You have 30 days to return a faulty product from taking ownership of a product (this could be the date of purchase or the date it was delivered to you - whichever is later) to claim a refund if it is faulty. After 30 days, we request for an opportunity to repair or replace goods before you can claim a refund. In the first instance, write to our customer services department objectively on websales@doorhandlestore.com so you have a written record as evidence.

If you want to return your faulty goods for a refund, a repair or replacement, we shall arrange and pay for the collection at no cost to you as a responsible retailer.

 

PRODUCT ISSUES

If a product you have ordered develops a fault within 30 days from the date of purchase or the date it was delivered to you- whichever is later, you have the right to receive a full refund.

If you are outside 30 days right to reject, but within six months from the date of purchase or the date it was delivered to you- whichever is later, we ask for an opportunity to repair or replace faulty goods which are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described.

Please email our Web Customer Service Team on websales@doorhandlestore.com to investigate the matter. In order to allow this investigation to take place, we will require your order number and photographs of your concerns. If we find that the product is faulty due to no fault of your own, we will arrange a collection and a replacement or refund depending on the situation.

If we find that the product has developed a concern due to misuse, wear and tear, or accidental damage, we are under no obligation to replace the item or issue you with a refund.

If a defect develops after the first six months, the burden is on you to prove that the product was faulty at the time the goods were delivered to you as goods are duly inspected prior to dispatch. In practice, this may require some form of expert report, opinion or evidence of similar problems or defects across the product range.

Door Handle Store reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund for fair use after the first six months of ownership if an attempt at a repair or replacement is unsuccessful.

You have up to six years to take a claim to the small claims court for faulty goods in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland.

This doesn't mean that a product has to last six years - just that you have this length of time in which to make a claim if we refuse to repair or replace a faulty product.

Meanwhile, the risk of damage to or loss of the Goods passes to you at the time of delivery. Therefore, it will be your duty to keep the goods safely as the Title of the goods does not belong to you unless paid for in full. Consequently, we firmly ask that you contact us within 48 hours of the delivery and support our customer services team in arranging a collection at our own expense within 7 days of your notification.

Failing to respond or simply ignoring receipt of Unsolicited goods or passing goods to the third party without prior authorisation shall result in a Sales Invoice generated, payable immediately enforceable under these Terms and Conditions. Door Handle Store (UK) reserves all its legal rights.
