You will require a tubular latch for the installation of any door handle which does not require a lock, such as your living room, dining room or kitchen.

• For lever door handles, we recommend using a 64mm tubular latch.
• We recommend using a 76mm tubular latch for doorknobs to allow for more room to manoeuvre the doorknob.

A bathroom mortice lock is required to be installed with a door handle to operate the thumbturn & release mechanism for your bathroom doors.

• We recommend using a 76mm bathroom mortice lock for doorknobs to allow for more room to manoeuvre the doorknob.

You must install a mortice lock with a door handle to operate with a key for added security to your room.

Door Handle Style:

Security Level:

• We recommend using a 2 or 3-lever mortice lock for rooms that require a low level of security.

Butt hinges are the most prevalent type of hinges used when hanging doors. However, the number of hinges needed per door can vary; this is dependent on the size and construction of the door.

We recommend 76mm (3”) hinges for lightweight interior doors and 100mm (4”) hinges for solid/ heavy-duty interior doors.

If you have a solid wooden door, we recommend using at least three hinges per door, and any door taller than 2200mm should be fitted with four.

Thumb Turn Kits:

Add the thumbturn and release mechanism with your Lever on Rose handle or Doorknob to operate the bathroom door lock. Using a thumb turn and release lock, you can secure the bathroom door from the inside without needing a key. However, it can be unlocked from the outside using a coin in an emergency.
